Please join us for a special event to honor Jose Sarria, the first out candidate for public office in 1961. The event will include a “mini museum” popup of the Jose Archives, a display of historic artifacts from his life at 6pm. Then join us for a special unveiling ceremony at 6:30 PM followed by a screening of Nelly Queen: The Life & Times of Jose Sarria, A documentary about his life, by filmmaker Joe Castel.
They will feature a special “unveiling” at the event. More to come…
